PERFECTION AMID THE RAINDROPS IS EARLY SEASON STORY IN THE NORTHEAST.

Northeast Local Tracks

Weather continues to alter or postpone racing entirely at Northeast local tracks, but the rain has done nothing to dampen the performances of some local “hot shoes.”

Before the rains came to Wall (NJ) Stadium this past weekend, Jimmy “Showtime” Blewett remained perfect for the 2018 season, winning the Modified feature.

At Riverhead (LI) Raceway, rain has allowed only 50% of the Saturday schedule to be run. Still, Tom Rogers, Jr. (Figure 8) and Kyle Soper (Late Models) are perfect. In addition, after telling me on HOT LAPS WITH STATS a couple of weeks ago that he does not shoot for early-season wins in his Modified, Rogers put an exclamation point on his performances by capturing a Modified feature this past Saturday night.
