It’s early, but three weeks into the 2018 FedEx Cup PGA Tour season, Spaniard Jon Rahm sent an emphatic message to his fellow PGA Tour Pros.
After finishing second to Dustin Johnson at the SENTRY TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS by eight shots two weeks ago, Rahm showed golf fans why he is ranked No. 3 in the World.
For the second week in a row, the PGA Tour FedEx Cup required multiple playoff holes to determine a winner. Last week Patton Kizzire battled James Hahn for six extra holes before winning the SONY OPEN.
This week, Rahm and Andrew Landry would be knotted at 22-under par 266 after regulation. However, this was when Rahm would show the reason for his place in the golf rankings.
As darkness threatened to suspend play at the LaQuinta Country Club, Rahm birdied the fourth playoff hole to win THE CAREER BUILDERS CHAMPIONSHIP.
While people naturally look at Dustin Johnson and even 2017 Player of the Year Justin Thomas to dominate, Jon Rahm will be a force to reckon with on the PGA TOUR in 2018.
