Pat Tillman and Colin Kaepernick are NOT even on the same planet

There have been a lot of questions and concerns over Brett Favre’s mental health after his latest outburst of nonsense. Many are worried he might have taken one too many hits while playing in the NFL (that Minnesota run was a rough one for Favre) or that maybe he is simply losing his mind.

Last week, he compared a second string, at best, quarterback that got benched for Blaine Gabbert (who had previously lost his starting job in Jacksonville) to a man that was about to receive a multi-million dollar contract to serve in the United States Military after 9-1-1.

“It’s not easy for a guy his age — black or white, Hispanic, whatever — to stop something that you’ve always dreamed of doing, and put it on hold, maybe forever, for something that you believe in,” Favre told TMZ Sports.

“I can only think of right off the top of my head, Pat Tillman is another guy that did something similar,” Favre said. “And, we regard him as a hero. So, I’d assume that hero status will be stamped with Kaepernick as well.”

Tillman, who walked away from the NFL and millions to serve his country for next to nothing, who was killed by friendly fire, to protect our country, freedom and flag.

Kaepernick, who lost his starting job to another horrible quarterback, then began his protest of taking a knee during the National Anthem, disrespecting that same flag and military that Tillman left millions on the table to serve and protect. Then once released from the 49ers, Kaepernick would only take starting quarterback salaries, while only being offered second or third string opportunities. Making it look like his not getting a contract was purely because of his kneeling, while the rest of the world knows the truth.

The cherry on top, Kaepernick has made millions from walking away from the NFL (potentially more than he would have staying in the NFL) and working on his cause, not the same as walking away from the NFL for next to nothing to serve a cause like Tillman.

So NO Brett, they are NOT both heroes. They are two completely different people, doing things for completely different reasons and have exact opposite motives…that’s what you meant to say.
