Tennessee Titans and Derrick Henry agree on contract

Derrick Henry and the Tennessee Titans have come to terms on a four-year deal worth $50 million ($25.5 million guaranteed). this came just before Wednesday’s 4 p.m. ET deadline for franchise players.

Henry will be getting about $12.5 million a year during this contract, making him the fifth highest paid running back in the NFL.

Henry follows:

  1. Christian McCaffrey ($16 million)
  2. Ezekiel Elliott ($15 million)
  3. Le’Veon Bell ($13.1 million)
  4. David Johnson ($13 million).

Henry ran for 1,540 yards (5.1 ypc and 16 TDs) last season and has posted consecutive seasons of more than 1,000 yards.

Henry has 804 rushes for 3,833 yards (4.8 YPC) and 38 TDs in his NFL career. PLUS…57 catches for 578 yards (10.1 ypc) and three touchdowns.
